7ª Essência is based in Linda-a-Velha, in the municipality of Oeiras. All the work that we do with our students away from the beach, from physical and technical training, to visualization and analysis of videos and theoretical classes areheld at our fully equipped training studio, at our headquarters in Linda-a-Velha.
Carcavelos Beach, Cascais
Carcavelos beach has one of the best national beach breaks in Portugal. It is located in the Cascais municipality, 20 minutes from downtown Lisbon. This urban beach is popular with many surfers, especially in winter, when the waves are more consistent. Carcavelos provides good conditions for Surfing and Bodyboarding classes, from beginner to competition level. 7ª Essência Surf and Boyboard School in Carcavelos works all year rouns, especially from September to June. Guincho Beach, Cascais
Guincho beach, north of Cascais, was classified in 2012 as one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal in the category of Beaches for Sports and is known to Windsurfing and Kitesurfing fans worldwide due to its geographical characteristics and strong north winds. It also offers great conditions for Surfing and Bodyboarding classes, especially when the wind is from the south or east. Praia da Saúde, Costa da Caparica, Almada
Costa de Caparica, part of the largest bay in Portugal, is located south of the Tagus river within the municipality of Almada and is considered one of the national centres for Surfing. Only a 20 minute drive from the center of Lisbon, Costa de Caparica has many beach breaks with good surfing almost always guaranteed for different levels of ability. This makes it a great spot for Surfing and Bodyboarding classes for all levels of learning. Learn more »
Ericeira, Mafra
Ericeira is located in the municipality of Mafra, 35 km from Lisbon. It provides excellence conditions for water sports, particularly Surfing, Bodyboarding and Stand Up Paddle, which have lead to its classification as a World Surf Reserve. The beaches around Ericeira provide different types of waves for all levels and this area is one of the most consistent places for waves in Portugal. 7ª Essence Surf and Bodyboard School in Ericeira works all year round with Surf, Bodyboard and Stand Up Paddle lessons.
Vila Nova de Milfontes, Odemira
Vila Nova de Milfontes is part of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo, in the municipality of Odemira, 195 km from Lisbon. Around Vila Nova de Milfontes we find wild and uncrowded beaches that bring excellent conditions for Surf and Bodyboard lessons. 7ª Essência only have Surf, Bodyboard and Stand Up Paddle lessons from May to September (spring and summer).
